Microsoft has launched a campaign to eradicate IE6, knowing that it costs web developers too much time to support it for the few people who still use it. Check the ie6countdown.com site periodically to watch the percentage of worldwide users of IE6 slowly shrink down to nothing.
WordPress users can now get in on the campaign through the use of the IE 6 Countdown plugin. It offers an easy and painless way to add the official upgrade banner to your site, which displays only when a user is using an older version of IE.

Because this plugin/widget is provided free of charge, I simply ask you to link back to Pressography.com in a post on your blog, or from one of your sites.
