Daily Tip: Add Pretty Drop Caps to Your WordPress Blog

Drop caps are a small detail that can add a nice touch to your blog posts or pages. They bring a warm reminder of the beautiful typography from the days of print. The new Drop Cap Shortcode plugin gives you the ability to include drop caps wherever you want via a shortcode. It will look something like this:
The Drop Cap Shortcode plugin includes two shortcodes:
- Write shortcode [A] to get “A” as a dropcode, [B] to get “B”, ect from A-Z
- Write shortcode [quote] to get an opening quotation mark as a drop cap.
Download and install the plugin and then use the shortcodes above to change the first letters in your paragraph to drop caps or quotation marks. It’s that simple!
Because this plugin/widget is provided free of charge, I simply ask you to link back to Pressography.com in a post on your blog, or from one of your sites. It doesn't need to be anything fancy - just a note saying that you're using it, and whether or not you like it. However, there is no requirement that you do this, you're free to use the plugin regardless.
