Daily Tip: Add Categories to Files in Your WordPress Media Library

Do you have hundreds of items in your WordPress media library? A little bit of organization might help you to keep track of your items better. The new Media Library Categories plugin allows you to do just that. When you upload a file to the library, it gives you the option to select a media category from a drop-down list, as pictured below:
Create new categories under Dashboard >> Media >> Media Categories. When you’re viewing your media library, you’ll have the option to sort it by the categories that you’ve created:
This could be very handy if you use the media library to upload many different kinds of media files that you need to be able to locate quickly and with others in the same category. The Media Library Categories plugin can be downloaded for free from the WordPress plugin repository.
Because this plugin/widget is provided free of charge, I simply ask you to link back to Pressography.com in a post on your blog, or from one of your sites. It doesn't need to be anything fancy - just a note saying that you're using it, and whether or not you like it. However, there is no requirement that you do this, you're free to use the plugin regardless.
