Daily Tip: Add an Update Message to WordPress Blog Posts

If you’ve been blogging with WordPress for quite awhile, chances are that you’ve experienced some of your posts becoming outdated. Perhaps you’ve written at tutorial or released a plugin or theme that has been updated but people are still finding your old posts through search engines and leaving comments. Here’s what you can do:
Install the Update Message plugin. It will add a nice little box at the top or bottom of your posts with an update message.
The plugin lets you add an update message with a date in the post editor screen. There you can link to a newer post or write a quick update about your content, without having to edit the original body of the post. Very handy, isn’t it?
Download the Update Message plugin for free from the WordPress plugin repository.
Because this plugin/widget is provided free of charge, I simply ask you to link back to Pressography.com in a post on your blog, or from one of your sites. It doesn't need to be anything fancy - just a note saying that you're using it, and whether or not you like it. However, there is no requirement that you do this, you're free to use the plugin regardless.
