The Simplest Theme does what it claims – it’s the smallest theme in the WordPress theme directory with only 83 lines of PHP and 75 lines of CSS in 4 files! It takes minimalist to the absolute extreme with minimal code and minimalist design.

Our Mini Review
This is a fantastic theme for anyone who is starting to learn about theme design. It is the absolute bare bones of what a WordPress theme should be so you can take it as a foundation and build up from there. Or can simply use it for a website that is so minimal it looks like a Word document.
