Premium Customizer Plugin/Theme Rider

The Premium Customizer is a php file that allows theme designers to easily add customization features for their designs, so the users of the designs can quickly make a few simple changes to change the look of the blog. It’s not really a “plugin” per se, so I’m calling it a “theme rider” since it rides along with your theme to do its job.

What Makes A Premium Theme Premium?

This is a very hot issue right now, and nobody really seems to agree on a standardized list of things that make a Premium (Paid) Theme… Premium.

I’ve been kicking around the idea for awhile now, and I’d like to throw my hat into the ring on the issue.

Here’s what I think should be standard across all Premium themes:

Featured Images Widget

Featured Images automatically features a thumbnail (or thumbnails) from your latest posts on your sidebar.

Rating Dominator

Rating Dominator is a powerful plugin that easily turns your blog into a ratings/review site. Between the point-and-click DHTML rating system, the aggregator functions/widgets, and the usefulness ratings that contribute to the overall accuracy of the overall rating, Rating Dominator is a power-packed plugin for Wordpress.

Featured Video Plugin/Widget

Featured Video automatically features the latest video you include in a post in your sidebar.
